Pembroke Pines, FL – October 26, 2006 – Mertech Data Systems, a leading provider of ISAM to SQL Database Connectivity (ISDBC) solutions offered a full day training on SQL during the pre-conference session of the annual Meet Me In St. Louis – Destination Curacao conference.

Held in the Avila Beach Hotel on Curacao, in the Netherland Antilles, the exclusive training day for the world’s leading DataFlex business solution developers showcased how SQL can be used to simplify the creation of efficient DataFlex applications. “By taking advantage of simple, easy to use features in SQL that are exposed through Mertech’s products, a DataFlex developer can easily boost the performance of their products, cut down on complexity, and save development time,” stated Gandalf Hernandez, V. P. of Product Development for MerTech Systems. Assisted by lead Flex2SQL developer Wil van Antwerpen of Antwise Solutions, Gandalf also demonstrated how to quickly create and initiate multiple performance and optimization strategies that focused on the need to simplify the many tasks of the developer.

An additional presentation on the new features of Mertech's Flex2SQL connectivity products was also given during the last day of the 2-day conference. The session focused on how Flex2SQL’s new command line support and multi-company support function together to simplify the migration of multiple directories. The new User Interface, Unicode support and other general improvements that are contained within Flex2SQL were also discussed.

The Meet Me In St. Louis conference is an annual event that provides training, education, and informational meetings for the global Visual DataFlex developer community.
